Basketball Recap: Elliot Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Elliot Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by Stockton Christian and fell 91-30. Elliot Christian hasn't had much luck with Stockton Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Elliot Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bryant Byrd posted 20 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Stockton Christian was led to victory by Ayden Rachal and Joshua Jordan Henderson. Rachal dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 boards, while Jordan Henderson shot 62% from the field en route to 21 points and eight rebounds. Rachal is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Moore, who put up nine points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Elliot Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Stockton Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Elliot Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 102-37 defeat against Highlands on the 5th. As for Stockton Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 50-43 win against Forest Lake Christian on the 5th.
