Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Hodgeman County Longhorns.

While Lakeside ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.

Josie Bowles paced Lakeside's offense, picking up five kills. Bowles got some help from Marley McCoy and her eight assists. Bowles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Hodgeman County, they pushed their record up to 22-15 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hodgeman County, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hill City on the 21st.
