Volleyball Recap: Herculaneum Black Cats vs. Jefferson Blue Jays
Herculaneum lost against Jefferson back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Herculaneum Black Cats came up short against the Jefferson Blue Jays, falling 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9, 25-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mady Barbagallo, who had ten digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Hueter, who had seven digs and 13 assists.
Herculaneum has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14-1 record this season. As for Jefferson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Herculaneum will square off against Valley at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jefferson, they will head out to take on DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
