Mooresville had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy Patriots. While the Blue Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mooresville walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-18.

Mooresville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Young led the charge by getting 16 digs and two assists. Tianna Chiriga also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Mooresville's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Mooresville and Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Blue Devils (ranked 59th) will meet Mallard Creek (ranked 421st) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy will take on Walnut Grove Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (109 vs. 298).
