Baseball Recap: Buckley Comes Up Short

Buckley lost against Benzie Central back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears fell 5-1 to the Huskies.

Buckley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coy Breithaupt, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Breithaupt has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Buckley's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Benzie Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Buckley by a score of 12-1 later that day.
