Basketball Game Preview: Firth Cougars vs. Wendell Trojans

Having just played yesterday, the Firth Cougars will jump right back in to play the Wendell Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Firth will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Firth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Marsing by a score of 58-49.

Meanwhile, Wendell had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-42 victory over the Pilgrims.

Firth better keep an eye on Jonathan Swainston. He was instrumental in Wendell's win, going 7-for-16 to rack up 21 points and three steals. Swainston's big performance that afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Jordon Swainston was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Wendell's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Firth, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.
