Williston Northampton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Loomis Chaffee School, who was ranked sixth in their home state at the time (Williston Northampton was ranked 22nd). The Wildcats came up short against the Pelicans on Saturday, falling 6-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Williston Northampton haven't been shut out since back in September.

Meanwhile, Cheshire Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-3 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for Cheshire Academy, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Cheshire Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Williston Northampton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1.
