Basketball Game Preview: Texico Wolverines vs. Mescalero Apache Chiefs

The Texico Wolverines will square off against the Mescalero Apache Chiefs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Texico and six for Mescalero Apache.

On Tuesday, Texico lost to Portales on the road by a 51-36 margin.

Meanwhile, Mescalero Apache came up short against Jal on Friday, falling 72-52.

Mescalero Apache's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Texico, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Texico came up short against Mescalero Apache in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, falling 49-44. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
