Softball Recap: Pendleton Comes Up Short

After flying high against La Grande last Friday, Pendleton came back down to earth. The Buckaroos lost 12-5 to the St. Helens Lions on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Buckaroos in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Pendleton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for St. Helens, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pendleton will head out to face off against Weston-McEwen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Helens, they will take on Seaside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
