St. Augustine came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-4 to San Antonio Christian.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph came tearing into last Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Barons 12-5. The result was nothing new for the Flyers, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

St. Joseph pushed their record up to 27-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
