Era won the last time they faced Chico and things went their way on Friday too. The Era Hornets escaped with a win against the Chico Dragons by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Despite the loss, Chico still got an impressive performance from Jordan Weiland, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 17 boards. That was a full 66.1% of Chico's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Talon Smith, who had nine points.

Era is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Chico, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Era will head out to square off against Slidell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Slidell will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Era surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chico, they will head out on the road to face off against Muenster at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
