Volleyball Recap: Arcata Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Arcata came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Yreka Miners by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Arcata won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 31-29, 25-16.

Arcata's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Yreka, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

Coincidentally, Arcata and Yreka will both be playing Orland the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Miners will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
