The Bernalillo Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Valley Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Valley's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Bernalillo had not allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. Bernalillo never let Albuquerque Academy onto the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday.
Autumn Arriola made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Arriola has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
