Basketball Recap: Davis County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Davis County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Knoxville Panthers on Monday as the Davis County Mustangs made off with a 56-31 victory. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 56-49 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Davis County's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Knoxville, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Davis County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-25 loss against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on the 21st. As for Knoxville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-32 win against Clarke on the 21st.
