Basketball Recap: Caden Leininger's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Gorham Fayette over Swanton

Gorham Fayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Swanton Bulldogs, falling 54-34. The Eagles were probably out for revenge after losing 51-43 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gorham Fayette's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Leininger, who posted seven points.

Gorham Fayette's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Swanton, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-8 record.

Gorham Fayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 37-24 defeat against North Central on the 24th. Swanton has also already played their next contest, a 49-48 victory against Delta on the 24th.
