Bothell is 2-8 against Issaquah since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Cougars will face off against the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bothell comes in on eight and Issaquah on five.
Bothell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Eastlake 3-2. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Wolves on their field since April 22, 2022.

Blake Skinner was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Carson Herrick looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
Skinner wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Teyton Hardeman, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
Meanwhile, Issaquah had just enough and edged out Skyline 3-2 on Thursday.
Like Bothell, Issaquah also got a great game from a two-way player: Hudson Carvalho. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Carvalho was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Issaquah pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Bothell, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
Bothell might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Issaquah in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
