Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Miranda Mcdonald and Allison Wong + How To Watch

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Chaparral Firebirds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Firebirds this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in September.

Desert Mountain took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Desert Mountain's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Allison Wong, who had ten digs and three aces, and Miranda McDonald, who had seven digs.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Chaparral, they pushed their record up to 26-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Desert Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Chaparral, they will take on Mountain Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
