Baseball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Takes a Loss

Miami Valley Christian Academy hit Clermont Northeastern with a seven-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets lost 13-3 to the Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Hunter Kelley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Clermont Northeastern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Clermont Northeastern will face off against Blanchester at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will square off against Goshen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
