Volleyball Recap: Del Norte Takes a Loss

Del Norte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They came up short against the Hope Christian Huskies, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9, 25-16.

Sage Gurule paced Del Norte's offense, picking up five kills. Gurule really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Lexus Ramos controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Del Norte's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Hope Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Del Norte and Hope Christian will both be playing Bernalillo the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
