Softball Recap: Mountain View Has No Trouble Against Madras

While Mountain View didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Madras White Buffaloes 21-6 on Monday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Cadence Kennedy was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 5-for-5. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Keilah McCarthy was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.

Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Madras, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will take on West Salem at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Madras, they will challenge Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
