Volleyball Recap: Pitman Gets the Win

Pitman won the last time they faced Clovis East and things went their way on Friday too. The Pride had just enough and edged out the Timberwolves 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Pride as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Pitman who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 13-25, 15-10.

Pitman found their leader in sophomore Jahnvi Dhillon, who had 18 digs and two assists.

Despite the loss, Clovis East still got an impressive performance from Anna Cheatham, who had 11 digs and four assists. Cheatham is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Clovis East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Pitman has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Sanger on the 12th. As for Clovis East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Arroyo Grande on the 12th.
