Baseball Game Preview: Paul W. Bryant Stampede vs. Minor Tigers

The Paul W. Bryant Stampede will face off against the Minor Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Paul W. Bryant has four straight victories, Minor has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Paul W. Bryant gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Minor as Paul W. Bryant made off with a 15-7 win. Fans of the Stampede have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Tony Felton and Camden Thornton did most of the damage at the plate: Felton went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Thornton scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Felton a new career-high in runs. CaJorie Merriweather was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Paul W. Bryant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Paul W. Bryant's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Minor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
