Volleyball Recap: Upland Takes a Loss

Upland suffered their biggest loss since September 25th on Monday. They came up short against the Los Osos Grizzlies, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Upland took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

Los Osos found their leader in sophomore Annaly Landeros, who had eight digs and three aces. Landeros is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Upland's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Los Osos, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.

Upland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Etiwanda on the 15th. As for Los Osos, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against St. Lucy's on the 15th.
