Preview: East Marion Eagles vs. Sumrall Bobcats
The East Marion Eagles will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Sumrall Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully East Marion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
Last Friday, East Marion came up short against Lumberton and fell 46-35.
Despite the defeat, East Marion had strong showings from Adrinae Aikens, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds, and Natalee Dillon, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. Aikens set a new season high mark in steals with three.
Meanwhile, Sumrall ended up a good deal behind Purvis on Friday and lost 46-31. Sumrall has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sumrall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
