            Football Recap: Skyview Wolverines vs. Hinkley Thunder        
        
		
        
        
            
Skyview got themselves on the board against Hinkley on Friday, but Hinkley never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Thunder 71-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2024.
A big part of Skyview's  win came down to the chemistry between  Carlos Carillo and his top target  Ronin Lund. Carillo rushed for 55 yards and two  touchdowns on only five carries while  Lund gained 69 total yards and two touchdowns. Lund's longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.  Josiah Landin also helped with two scores in total.
 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Skyview, adding 20 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Landin, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
 Skyview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Philippe Talkington and  Josiah Ruiz-Reyes.
Skyview has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 59.0 points this season. As for Hinkley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Niwot  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Hinkley, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Timnath at 2:00  p.m.  on  the 20th.
