Football Game Recap: St. Michael the Archangel vs. Pierce City

Pierce City had enough points to win and then some against St. Michael the Archangel on Friday, taking their game 34-16.

Pierce City's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 34 first-half points. St. Michael the Archangel wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 9 to make it 34-9 heading into the break. Pierce City were outperformed in the second half 0-7 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. They added further sheen to their flawless record, now 7-0. The loss dropped St. Michael the Archangel's record to 3-4.

Pierce City will be playing at home against Miller at at 7:00 PM next week. Miller are cruising in on a four-game winning streak. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they will face off against Center. Center have averaged 40.25 points over the course of their past three games, so St. Michael the Archangel might be in for a challenge.
