Basketball Recap: Orem Comes Up Short

Orem was the 44-39 winner over Spanish Fork when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Orem Tigers were outmatched by the Spanish Fork Dons and fell 61-23. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-11.

Orem has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Spanish Fork, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Orem and Park City will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Spanish Fork, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
