Trimble has gone 9-1 against Southern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trimble Tomcats will be playing at home against the Southern Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 47-17, which was the final score in Trimble's tilt against South Gallia on Saturday. The Tomcats haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Federal Hocking, falling 55-30. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while the Lancers are ranked 104th).

Trimble's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Trimble didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Southern when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 39-34 win.
