Midlothian is 8-1-1 against Clover Hill since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will host the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Midlothian has three straight victories, Clover Hill has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Midlothian's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Powhatan 5-0. Considering Midlothian have won six games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Powhatan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Casey Royle (3), Mason Captain, and Lance Yeboah.

Meanwhile, Clover Hill fell victim to Cosby and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, Clover Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Cosby are ranked 12th).

Midlothian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Clover Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Everything went Midlothian's way against Clover Hill in their previous meeting back in March, as Midlothian made off with a 5-2 win. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
