Softball Recap: Minford Takes a Loss

Minford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 27-1 to the Wheelersburg Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-0 on April 8th.

Minford's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Wheelersburg, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minford will host Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mohawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Wheelersburg, they will challenge Boyd County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
