Basketball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Mustangs vs. Randle Lions
The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 57-43 fall against Randle. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lamar Consolidated of the 39-33 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Lamar Consolidated's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ja'lace Embry, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks, and Shafeeq Mujahideen who scored 15 points.
Lamar Consolidated has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Randle, their victory bumped their record up to 10-16.
Lamar Consolidated will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Willowridge is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Randle, they will head out on the road to challenge the Buffalos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Marshall will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
