Marietta had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Logan Chieftains. The win was all the more spectacular given Marietta's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 257th, while Logan are ranked 103rd).

Marietta's victory bumped their record up to 5-6-2. As for Logan, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marietta will welcome Parkersburg South at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marietta will be up against Parkersburg South's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Logan, they will be playing at home against Groveport-Madison at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
