Football Game Preview: Gruver Greyhounds vs. Muenster Hornets

Two dominant signal callers in Briggs Satterfield and Casen Carney are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Gruver Greyhounds will face off against the Muenster Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Gruver sitting on 14 straight victories and Muenster on ten.

Gruver is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down Ropes 42-28. Gruver's win was all the more impressive since the Eagles were averaging only 12.71 points allowed on the season.

Gruver relied on the efforts of Satterfield, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, and Walker Maupin, who rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards Satterfield has posted since back in August. Brock Butler also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Muenster humbled Collinsville with a 54-14 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by 29 points or more this season.

Gruver better focus on containing Carney and Nolan Peel as the pair were huge in Muenster's win. Carney threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, while Peel gained 124 total yards and three touchdowns.

Gruver's record is now 14-0. As for Muenster, their record now sits at 12-2.
