It was a good run, but Yantis unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 55-47 to the Cooper Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 62-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2018.

Jequan Brown had an outrageously good game for Cooper as he went 9 of 19 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of James Sneed, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Yantis' loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Cooper, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yantis will take on Cumby in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cooper and Como-Pickton will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cooper is facing Como-Pickton at the right time seeing as Como-Pickton is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
