Soccer Game Preview: Lawrence County vs. Columbia Academy

The Lawrence County Wildcats will head out to challenge the Columbia Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County will be strutting in after a win while Columbia Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Lawrence County had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Culleoka on Monday. Lawrence County put the hurt on Culleoka with a sharp 6-0 victory. Lawrence County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Columbia Academy after they claimed the first score last Tuesday, but it was University School of Nashville who ended up claiming the real prize. Columbia Academy fell just short of University School of Nashville by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Columbia Academy have lost by just one goal.

The win was the third in a row for Lawrence County, bringing their record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Columbia Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
