Baseball Recap: Thatcher Eagles vs. Crismon Rattlers

Thatcher and Crismon squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly Thatcher had to settle for second. They fell victim to a rough 14-4 defeat at the hands of the Crismon Rattlers. Thatcher's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Paxton Echols made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kody Bingham, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

On Crismon's side, Ryan Wilsford was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Wilsford has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Wilsford was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with a stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kenny Wilsford was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
