Baseball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Washington County Commanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Commanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Noah Spalding was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Marion County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Washington County, their record now sits at 12-15.

As of now, neither Marion County nor the Commanders have any future games scheduled.
