It's playoff time, and Foresthill had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Esparto Spartans on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildfires, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brianna Miller was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Marissa Miller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Foresthill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .718. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Foresthill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Esparto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Foresthill will face off against Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Esparto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
