Softball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bullitt Central Cougars, falling 20-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Bullitt Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Looking ahead, Southern will challenge Brown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bullitt Central, they will square off against Whitefield Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.27 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
