Basketball Recap: Robert Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcdonogh over Our Lady of Good Counsel

If McDonogh was riding high fresh off their 75-55 takedown of The Carmel School last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McDonogh Eagles fell to the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons 63-59. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McDonogh lost on Sunday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Robert Moore, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Ferguson, who had ten points and five rebounds.

McDonogh's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

McDonogh will take on West Nottingham at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. McDonogh is facing West Nottingham at the right time seeing as West Nottingham is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they will head out to challenge DeMatha at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady of Good Counsel has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three matches.
