Basketball Recap: Oak City Prep Piles Up the Points Against Covenant C

Oak City Prep waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They breezed past the Covenant C Crusaders to the tune of 87-25. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 65-43 win two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak City Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amazin Dixon, who on his way to 25 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds. The game was Dixon's 20th in a row with at least 15 points. Cam McNeil was another key player, en route to 17 points along with seven assists and six steals.

Dixon wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Oak City Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in five consecutive contests.

Oak City Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Covenant C, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Oak City Prep nor Covenant C have any future games scheduled.
