Baseball Game Preview: Crystal Springs Tigers vs. Seminary Bulldogs

Crystal Springs hasn't had much luck against Seminary recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Crystal Springs Tigers will face off against the Seminary Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Crystal Springs has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Crystal Springs is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 22-0 to Seminary.

For Seminary's part, Jomarrion 'JoJo' Flowers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and six RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Flowers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Napier, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Seminary was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Seminary is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. Crystal Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
