Basketball Game Preview: Widefield Gladiators vs. Mesa Ridge Grizzlies

The Widefield Gladiators will face off against the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Widefield lost to Canon City at home by a 62-44 margin. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mesa Ridge and Palmer Ridge faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Saturday. Mesa Ridge took a blow against Palmer Ridge, falling 74-28. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.

Mesa Ridge dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Widefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Widefield beat Mesa Ridge 43-30 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Widefield repeat their success, or does Mesa Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
