Albany has gone 8-2 against Stamford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Albany challenged Anson on Tuesday. The Lions came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Albany saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clay Chapman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Landon Picquet also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Stamford posted their closest victory since February 28th on Tuesday. They skirted past Hawley 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won four in a row.

Albany now has a winning record of 5-4-3. As for Stamford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Albany suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Stamford in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
