Softball Recap: Granby Comets vs. Woodside Wolverines        
        
		
            
 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Granby had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  25-2 margin over the Woodside Wolverines. The result was nothing new for Granby, who have now won 14 matches by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
  Lovie Norman and  Shaka Holmes made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Norman   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Meanwhile,  Holmes   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run but no hits. At the plate,  Norman  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Holmes  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Destiny Harris, who  went 5-for-5 with a  home run, eight  RBI,  and four  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexis Hejnal, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  stolen base.
 The  victory was  the seventh in a row for Granby, bringing their record for this year to 17-2. As for Woodside, their loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 10-12.
 Granby will challenge Bethel at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Bethel's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last five matchups. Woodside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
