Football Recap: Stanfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Stanfield had to suffer through a 50-12 loss at the hands of Clatskanie. Stanfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clatskanie apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Jacob Crawford threw for 79 yards on only seven passes. Zander Wright was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

Will VanVoorst had an outrageously good game for Clatskanie as he rushed for 125 yards and one score on only six carries, and also threw for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those 125 rushing yards gave VanVoorst a new career-high. Lucas Andreasen was in the mix too, providing Clatskanie with two TDs.

Stanfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Clatskanie, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Stanfield and Clatskanie will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers are set to face off against their familiar foe Irrigon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clatskanie will take on rival Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
