Softball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Lamar finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the Purdy Eagles, falling 8-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Lamar now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Purdy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Lamar will take on East Newton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Purdy, they will face off against Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
