Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Wasatch Wasps
The Orem Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Wasatch Wasps at 16:00 p.m. on Friday. Orem is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Two weeks ago, Orem took their match at home with ease, bagging a 59-14 victory over Ridgeline. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Orem just coasted through the last quarter.
Mack Hixson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Hixson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last ten games he's played. Orem also got help from Roger Saleapaga who showed off his sure hands for 131 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last matchup, Wasatch made sure to put some points up on the board against Cedar Valley two weeks ago. Wasatch took down Cedar Valley 35-21.
Their wins bumped Orem to 4-6 and Wasatch to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Orem against Wasatch in their previous matchup back in September as the squad secured a 44-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orem since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
