Softball Recap: Walled Lake Northern Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Walled Lake Northern walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Lakeland Eagles on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Walled Lake Northern pushed their record up to 27-5-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Lakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-11.

Looking ahead, Walled Lake Northern will head out on the road to square off against Divine Child at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
