Preview: Neighborhood House Charter Legends vs. St. John Paul II Lions

The Neighborhood House Charter Legends will head out on the road to square off against the St. John Paul II Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Neighborhood House Charter has seven straight victories, St. John Paul II has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Neighborhood House Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Prospect Hill Academy by a score of 75-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Neighborhood House Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tavon Rhodes, who scored 44 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Rhodes has scored at least a third of Neighborhood House Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juelz McGhee, who scored 24 points.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II took a serious blow against Westport last Wednesday, falling 62-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. John Paul II has scored all season.

Neighborhood House Charter pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for St. John Paul II, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
